I had this exact problem. I did the steps given for troubleshoot but it continued to quit before it even started. I even uninstalled the program and installed it again and tried it. I really don’t know what is wrong with mine.
Sorry you’re having trouble, and sorry for the late reply. Just in case there’s been a language issue, let me restate the steps involved.
First, make sure you have DirectX installed correctly, and check to see if your virus detection software is mistakenly reacting to the program. If you continue having problems after installing the latest version of DirectX, please try momentarily disabling your computer’s virus protection software.
Also, there may be some issues installing and using Emofuri or E-mote on an English language version of Windows. Uninstalling, changing the system locale to Japanese, and then re-installing may help solve the issue. (Please reference Microsoft’s website or instruction manuals for changing the locale on your version of Windows.)
