After downloading and opening emofuri and checking the box and accepting the terms and conditions what seems to be an error warning pops up (the title is ‘information’) and is filled with question marks. After pressing ‘ok’ (which is the only option) another box pops up, same thing but with three lines of question marks. After pressing ‘ok’ for the second time the program closes. I have re-installed emofuri, updated directX, ran as administrator, and ran in a few compatibility modes, but no luck. Do you know what the problem is/how I can fix it? (It should be noted that I am using this program on a computer that uses English, hence the question marks taking the place of the Japanese)

I’ve been having the same issue when trying to get it to boot up properly. I dunno if it has something to do with the virus thing or not (but that’s my speculation)

I think I know how to get it to work properly. Here’s a Tumblr post about it

    Hello mypantsrcool and latiro!
Thanks for your inquiry, and we’re glad to see interest in E-mote and Emofuri from around the world. Sorry for the delay in our response, and thanks for your patience.

Currently, our E-mote and Emofuri software are only available in Japanese language.
Because of this, there may be some issues installing and using Emofuri on an English language version of Windows.
Uninstalling Emofuri, changing the system locale to Japanese, and then re-installing Emofuri may help solve the issue.
(Please reference Microsoft’s website or instruction manuals for changing the locale on your version of Windows.)

However, we currently don’t support English language versions of Windows, so there is no guarantee this will solve the issue, and we may not be able to provide any further support for this issue at this time.

We are still undecided about creating English language versions, so we appreciate knowing that you are interested. Right now we are also looking into making the manual and other related documents available in English. Any updates about the possibility of English language versions will be posted to our site and twitter when the time comes.

Thank you for contacting us, and thank you for your interest in our software.
